Society today have set many clothing trends that relate to different eras such as: the 2010’s. Inspired by over 40s fashion blogger ‘Sylvia’, people aged 40+ prefer something more to their personal liking based of the clothes they use to wear as young adults and teenagers. Creating nostalgia and giving them the sensational feeling of being young. This includes: high waisted jeans, denim jackets, these types of trends could make an appearance in today by changing details to create small differences but big impacts. Impacts such as having a unique style also inspiring other woman to do the same. Letting woman know that they don’t always have to dress the same, they can switch it up in their 40+ age. Woman at 40+ and even men are expected to dress a certain way as they are adults, but who said they can’t have fun with switching up their outfits. High waisted jeans can be changed by adding simplistic, gold embellishments to create a more contemporary look. They also can come in a variety of colours such as: washed out blue, dark blue and navy blue. As the jeans are such a simple asset to an outfit it can easily be paired with any top preferred to the persons style. Denim Jackets can be changed to have a more decorative and attractive look by changing the length on the sleeves and giving it a less mundane look. This also can be paired with skirts, t-shirts and also high waisted jeans as it is available in many different colours and is effortless to put together with another item of clothing.  

Woman that are 40+ have many celebrities that are also 40+ to look up to that dress young for their age. According to the mail online, Lulu a 66 year old Scottish singer dresses like she is 38 years old, she is in fact in the top spot for dressing the youngest at her age at the moment. She expresses that “dressing young is fun and why not, you only live once and just have fun while you can”. This can be inspiring to many woman to be who they want to be no matter their age.
